Deep in the Heart of Texas!

Back in February, two of my friends and I headed down to Austin for a long weekend. We have known each other for most of our lives and love traveling together! It was fun to explore Texas. Since it was February, we were looking forward to a warmer climate and a bit of an escape from the BIGGEST snowstorm of the season. However, Texas wasn't nearly as warm as we thought. We were definitely not prepared for the weather. Austin is not at all like I had anticipated. It was more of a transplant city...there were people from all over the country there. I had expected a LOT more cowboy hats and bigger hair. We were told that we could see authentic Dallas inspired looks in Dallas itself. We did get a little taste when we met up with a former coworker and checked out a honky-tonk bar. None of us got out on the floor and danced but really enjoyed watching everyone! Thanks for another terrific trip, ladies!
