Spring is here!

I realize I haven't posted in FOREVER...and my apologies for that. I haven't been in the blogging mood...

Today I went for a nice long walk and snapped some photos along the way. Here are a few of my favorites.

Fun with the Angel Family

Early this morning, read: 2:20 a.m., I was woken from a sound sleep by the scritching of critters in the attic. It sounded like a group of feral beasts dragging the luggage around. I was frightened to shut my eyes and go back to sleep! It sounded like they were going to teem right through the wall! Poor Emerson took the role of curious cat for all of two minutes and then hopped up onto my down comforter and snuggled to safety. After about 40 minutes (I told you...it was LOUD!) I wandered down the hallway from my Kirk Cameron apartment and ventured into my parents room. Yes, I still live with my family.

Anyhow, I was thinking I'd let my dad know just in case he had some tricks up his sleeve. I waltzed into their bedroom to find both of them newly awakened themselves. Apparently the mice/squirrels/raccoons/coyotes had scampered all the way through the house to their room. They, too, were sufficiently annoyed.

Well, as the law of Angel family humor (or my dad's, at least) dictates, I found a display of sticky notes on some of the kitchen cabinets today. My dad had apparently been struck with an early morning bout of creativity, as he had written out a game plan. Being who am I, I chuckled as I added on my own comments for all to see. Over the course of the day, it seems my mom also got in on the post-it fun.

Take a look at the randomness that illustrates one of the many things I love best about my family. We are so weird and love being so! By the way, these are still hanging on the cabinets!!

Just a Little Late on This One!

Am I months behind on blogging? Yes. Do I feel inspired to write, write, write? No. However, I do have to put some pictures up that are long overdue. My precious godson turned 2 on November 18th. The theme of "Finding Nemo" was not lost on him. He loved every decoration his mom, Stef, picked out. She sure knows how to throw a party! We had great appetizers, yummy lasagna, and of course, cake!

I feel very blessed to have this guy and his parents in my life. I am proud to be his Auntie Amanda and hope that, as godmother, I always give him the best of advice. I mean, my last name is Angel, how could my moral compass possibly be off kilter?!?! Kidding, kidding. Soon, I'll have another 'nephew' who will, I'm sure, tug at my heart strings. Can't wait to meet Lil Man's little brother this Spring.

Love you, Max! (and Stef & Big Max)

Enjoy some pics:

Look who's two!

I love Stef's expression in this one!
Who's more excited about blowing out the candles?!? Too cute.

Auntie Amanda snuggle time.
